The class will begin with the chanting of Om and dedication of the practice, then move into a ten-minute explanation of Yama, the Ethical Rules of yoga and the firm foundation of all yoga practice. Then the physical exercises, the Asanas: Sun Salutations to warm up the body followed by about 55 minutes of practice of the main and most important yoga poses. The last section of the class will include a deep experience of Yoga Nidra: guided meditation in Shavasana. When we really relax, a great amount of healing can take place both on the physical and subtle levels. This class will serve as a chance to experience many basic elements of Dharma Yoga and will constitute a complete practice. Please bring an extra layer.
