The Latin term vagus means to wander or to stray. The vagus nerve then is a pair of cranial nerves (yes you have two!) that roam throughout the body and permeate several of our vital organs. In this class you will learn why The Great Wanderer is a major player in the game of good health and explore how to stimulate it. You know Yoga is good for you; come and be introduced into the science behind how deeply rich it is, and how the most fundamental practices of asana and pranayama are by nature stimulating this important primary nerve. Expect a brief lecture, a deeply satisfying Kula Flow vinyasa class, and a generous topping of pranayama.
Class time devoted to lecture: 11-20 minutes
