For people who want to know why the practice of meditation and yogic embodiment has such mental and physical health benefits. This class will be a 20 minute discussion on the brain wave states that govern meditation, dreaming and intuition. We will briefly discuss the beneficial effects of these states on the nervous system and the regenerative power of the practice on the entire mind-body. There will be 20 minutes of light breath work and guided meditation to experience the quieter brain wave states and the restful and restorative states of the body. No meditation experience necessary.
Class time devoted to lecture: 11-20 minutes
