Rooted in Zen philosophy, Andrea will lead you in mindfulness meditation, using awareness of our surroundings to steady the mind. We'll incorporate the grounding practice of "earthing" into gentle and free-flowing asana, reconnecting with Mother Nature through the soles of our feet. Spending time convening with the healing energy of the wild has been shown to improve overall well-being and happiness. We'll pause frequently to reflect on the experience, describing what we see and writing down our observations. Participants are encouraged to bring a notepad or journal—and to get their feet dirty.
Class time devoted to lecture: 5-10 minutes
