Limited Capacity filling up

This hike will start with a ride on the gondola to the summit of the Stratton Mountain Resort and then traverse one mile across the top of the mountain to the true Stratton Mountain summit. We will merge onto the Appalachian/Long Trail northbound for three miles to the picturesque Stratton Pond which is hidden in the woods and only accessible by foot. From Stratton pond, we will backtrack on the AT/LT southbound for about one mile to where we had crossed the IP road. This in an old paper company logging road that is grassy and well maintained. We will hike along this trail for one mile to the VAST trail which will connect us in another miles back around the mountain to the resort. Once at the resort trails, we will hike down Lower Wanderer, under a covered bridge and back to the base area. The total mileage for this hike is about 6 miles.
