For people who want to know why the practice of meditation and yogic embodiment has such mental and physical health benefits. This class will be a 20 minute discussion on the brain wave states that govern meditation, dreaming and intuition. We will briefly discuss the beneficial effects of these states on the nervous system and the regenerative power of the practice on the entire mind-body. There will be 20 minutes of light breath work and guided meditation to experience the quieter brain wave states and the restful and restorative states of the body. No meditation experience necessary.

Journaling is the best tool I've found to process my experience in the world. I don't know what I'm thinking or feeling unless I'm writing. Journaling became the key to help me develop self-awareness and therefore enrich my creative self-expression. In this workshop I'm sharing the techniques that have helped me. I'll talk through the importance of expressive writing for health, happiness, and personal growth as well as how it can help enrich relationships and creative expression. This will be an interactive and experiential workshop where participants will be guided though different journaling techniques based on my book and will have the opportunity to ask questions about the processes you're guided through.

My Mind on My Mantra and My Mantra on My Mind [BONUS]

What's a mantra? And why do I need one?

Together we'll explore all things mantra, mala beads and meditation.

The first half of the class, we'll explore the benefits of mantra. Each person will choose a mantra and learn how to use it in their practice, and day to day life.

We will also cover the essentials of using mala beads in your meditation practice.

To bring it all together, we will sit in meditation using the techniques learned about mantra and mala.

Mala beads will be provided for the practice. Participants will take home a custom mantra card as a reminder of their intention.

This class will will also have an opportunity for discussion and Q&A.
