Kari Harendorf

Kari Harendorf is an E-RYT 500 Yoga Teacher, Reiki Master, Integrative Therapist, and Holistic
Heath Facilitator. She merges spiritual practice with asana and health science to help people
feel and be their best.

A teacher of teachers, Kari is on faculty for the 200-Hour Yoga Teacher Training at the Kripalu
Center for Yoga & Health and is a lead faculty in Rodney Yee and Colleen Saidman's 300-Hour
advanced yoga teacher training program. As a Master Trainer of Urban Zen's Integrative
Therapy Program, Kari initiates Reiki practitioners and teaches essential oils, yoga therapy,
meditation, breath awareness, and contemplative care to future caregivers in hospital settings
and private practice.

Kari playfully focuses her teaching on helping students and teachers achieve precise anatomical
alignment, to awaken the body's innate intelligence, and foster a sense of awareness and
healing through yoga, nutrition, and healthy living. She leads weekly asana classes and
anatomy workshops at Yoga Great Barrington and the Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health as
well as leading seasonal anatomy yoga workshops in New York City and The Hamptons.
In 2004, Kari founded the East Yoga Center studio in New York's East Village, where she
famously merged her passion for yoga and dogs with a monthly "Doga" class. This led to
features in publications including The New York Times, Yoga Journal, The Wall St. Journal,
appearances on The Martha Stewart Show, ABC News, Fox & Friends, and her own TV Show,
K9 Karma, on Discovery's Animal Planet.

Today, Kari lives in the mountains of Great Barrington, MA with her husband, three children, five
dogs, and other creatures. Kari grew up in Toronto, CA and holds a B.F.A. from the Tisch
School of the Arts at NYU.
